I was surprised that Halloween is celebrated...well, parts of it anyway - the dressing up in costumes and having a party! Shops had scary masks and very colorful costumes hanging outside and inside. The young adults decorated for a haunted house and for the games.
Everyone helps Ha (she is the one with the sucker in her mouth) draw faces on the 'ghost' suckers. They will be handed out as prizes for the winners of the games. They decorated more than 100 suckers!!
Huyen is in charge of setting up the grave yard site in the haunted house area. The third floor of the church is a perfect location for the haunted house...it has only two windows!
The poor mummy had a long road of recovery. He had to be re-wrapped!
The skeleton buddies were finally pieced together and are now hanging around the castle.
This was a
very large spider with many little baby spiders all over the webbing. The picture does not do it justice...the eyes glowed red!
The night of the Halloween Party the weathers was a little cooler...YEH!! I didn't sweat all the makeup off right away. WOW! There were over a hundred people at the party. Not everyone came to the party in costume but they really enjoyed themselves!!
We had a hard time deciding how to dress up. So the old standard 'Frankenstein and Walking Dead Woman' did the job just fine. You can see the makeup starting to 'melt' off of our faces!
This is Brian. He had a very nice costume. His face was awesome!
The children enjoyed 'carving' with magic markers, small pumpkins as one of the many activities. Even a few adults decided to try their hand at making cool 'carvings'.

The Mummy Wrap game was a very big hit! Two teams were wrapping their 'victim' in a contest of who could wrap the fastest and cover the most area with rolls of toilet tissue.

...the poor victim/patient...everyone coming into the dark, dark room had to feel for the patient's injuries!! YUK! It was very slimey and gooey!
Teams were made and a tug-of-war was held to find the strongest of the strong.
A great night was enjoyed by all.
